I tend to not enjoy casual games where difficulty isn't the focus and story takes the forefront. But somehow, I enjoyed Wandersong very much, despite being a game where story and presentation is the number 1 priority. Oh, and the music is also good. In this game, about music. In this game, you play as a pacifist bard trying to save the world. But, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the adventure isn't only about "sunshine and rainbows" as the character does go through adversity and has, you know, an actual character arc. It's a good story. Good enough to hold up the game. And, although it is nothing challenging, the game is primary a "platformer" type of game, where it gives you peace and "quiet" (you'll still be followed by the background track) to just complete some platforming segments and puzzles. I liked it. I recommend it. Hope you like it too.
First half is definitely better than the second, but still an incredible game. I teared up a bit at multiple points. I also love the music element of the game without it being a rhythm game. Very unique. The ending dragged on a little long though.
such a comfort game honestly. The bard cured my depression
