Its not for me. Its a little bit to ugly and even after the tutorial I find managing your units a bit to tedious. But it is cheap. So maybe try the demo first?
This game is not ready for a full release, full of bugs, and odd design choices making things hard to understand. For starters, the game is built on pretty good sized hexes, but for reasons beyond my comprehension the information does not stay within that hex, making it hard to tell what applies to where, etc. The action is quite buggy as well, some things simply not working, like trying to cast a spell, far too often. There is a lack of information, most noticeably on the terrain itself. A lot of effort has been spent on animating the units, but it means little when you can't even see them, the game would have been better served to simply have two dimensional tokens displaying information on the units. The story makes very little sense as well, as it makes a point of saying there are no more turtles, without explaining why turtles are important, then a few levels later I discover I had been riding one of them? But there are no more? What the heck? It's all very disjointed. Also i get to pick my hero at the start of an adventure, but the story is always from the point of the main one, so if I don't bring him, the dialogue makes no darn sense. I suspect there might be …
