HOW DOES IT PLAY?
The recommended way to play Furious Angels is with the mouse: aim, fire with the left button, thrust with the right button and hold your fire to repair. Thats it.
You can also use a more familiar twin-stick control scheme with your Gamepad OR Mouse + WASD.
LEADERBOARDS?
Absolutely, but there's a catch: everything will reset the next day with a rank upgrade and new waves, a fresh start.
WHAT ABOUT THE UPGRADES?
As you shred the enemy to pieces your ship will transform and upgrade automatically. There are four upgrade stages, each with its own unique weapon. Upgrades can level up and be obtained multiple times but each time they will be harder to get. How furious will you become?

Ok game, wish there were other modes with more upgrade options1 found this helpful
Simple shoot 'm up that's very easy to learn but extremely hard to master. Defend your carrier with a tiny ship against increasingly challenging waves of enemies. You'll get a set of fixed upgrades after certain amounts of kills and revert back to the original ship if upgrade gets destroyed. Runs last from several seconds to several minutes. A run of five minutes is concidered great, you're a pro now. Besides the shooting, there's not a lot of stuff going on. No skill trees or meta progression. It's basically a very hard but good arcade game with an online leaderbord. Also highly advise playing with mouse and keyboard because precision aiming is a must have to be successful.1 found this helpful
An Absolute Gem… Just Not for Everyone And now you died. I don’t like hard games anymore. 40+ years of “hard difficulty” have been enough. These days I want slow. I want calm and deep. And then there are Furious Angels – a game where you can die in seconds. And you will. The movement never stops, enemies never stop, everything explodes… and now you just died. Again. You’ll die a lot. But each time you’ll do a little better — not because of some rogue-lite upgrade system, but because you’re learning. Enemy patterns, timing, your own mistakes. You just died. But this time you know it was your fault. Start again. The core mechanic is devilishly simple: the only reason to stop shooting is that your ship heals while you’re not firing. But if you’re not firing, you’ll probably die. Guess what just happened... It’s a game about movement, shooting and knowing when to stop shooting just long enough to survive, and slowly sharpening your skill. Minimalist, yet very nice and polished. Brutal, but also brutally fair. Also, you just died. Start again.1 found this helpful
A simple game and a good time-waster. Something to play on a lunch break, when your food is warming up, when your GF is putting on her make-up before a night out, etc. The game is visually appealing, yet plays well on a low-end system, so it would also be a good game for a laptop with integrated graphics.1 found this helpful
Brilliant graphics and really good gameplay, unfortunatly the developer decided to change the zoom out in the game so it became unplauable
Great fun on steamdeck. Looks awesome too
