Gaikokujin No Sensei (Foreigner Teacher) is a fun, lighthearted visual novel, complete with full voice acting, taking around 6-8 hours to complete each of the 4+ endings. A friend gifted this to me as a 'joke', as I normally don't play or buy these kinds of visual novels, but it actually turned out to be quite charming. Even if most of these points look critical I say this out of love and not hate. I recommend the game. First, the main character. I hate MC. MC is shy, anxious, and everything that you don't want to be in the situation that he is in. Playing as the main character felt like picking a shopping cart with a broken wheel at Walmart. Given that, as mentioned at the end of the game, the school year for the school our hero teaches at commences in April, it is likely that taking hiring, training, and moving internationally into account that the protagonist runs into "Kiosk Woman" at some point in early January. Lastly, we must figure out where this mall is. We aren't given much information about our American life, but we know that the mall at the beginning is "one of the biggest malls in America". Interestingly, the eighth largest mall in America is located in the greater Washington D.C. area. So now we must connect the dots. Our main character got dumped and fired in early January 2021 in Washington D.C. Why is our protagonist's life falling apart? Simple: we were a pa…1 found this helpful
