It’s a rewarding, fun job, and you’re beloved by students and coworkers alike–until suddenly, one day you lose your job. You work for a dispatch English teaching company, and they lost their contract with your school, just one month before the end of the school year.Out of nowhere, you must change the course of your life. A good and unfortunate reminder of the fact that it's incredibly difficult to live in another country. With the way that the political climate has been going recently, immigrants have a much harder time adjusting and surviving in the places they'd like to live. As is said at the end (sorry for the spoiler) it's important to have a community to support each other. If you can, please build that. You'll not only help yourself, but those around you who are just as isolated as you are. Find solidarity in others!2 found this helpful
This short yuri visual novel is good. The focus isn't really the yuri -- but the MC is sapphic and in a relationship, and her girlfriend is a support character. Instead, the focus is on how hard life is for dispatch English teachers in Japan, and the story does a pretty good job of conveying that. There's only one choice, but it has 4 options so there are 4 different endings. There aren't any CGs or any other exciting bells and whistles, but it's a free VN so that's not really a big problem.2 found this helpful
This is one of the best written games i have played, and one of few exeptions to the fact that most games dont make me feel genuine sadness no matter how sad they are. the was dispatch english teachers are treated isnt fair, and i wish i personally could do more about it. 10/10 please play this game!1 found this helpful
Honestly a heart-breaking game even though it's so short. It's awful what teachers have to live through. All the endings were tragic, but I guess that's how life is for some...1 found this helpful
I know people that have gone through situations like the ones outlined in the game and it really allowed me to see how hopeless it is when the system is set up to work against you. This isn't a happy story, but it's a necessary one to tell.1 found this helpful
Very short (25 mins approx.) VN with only 1 choice at the end, but an interesting story highlighting the sometime harsh reality that is life. Personally I feel the writing, especially since it was based around true events, could have been more in-depth to engage the reader more - however it is a free game and one I enjoyed for a quick break between my Japanese studies. Caution spoiler: [spoiler] I hope the ending where they stayed and did the automotive college is true, and I also hope they realised a way to teach outside of direct employment.1 found this helpful
