A clever merger between detective noir and dating sim. Detective, Guard My Secret contains a large amount of content, three interesting cases, good acting performances, and a great structure. Disclaimer: English subtitles are present, but the interface, choices, and text have not been translated. Google Lens is your friend, for now. Subtitles are okay but with many pronoun errors and a few scenes have badly mistimed subs. You play as a small-time detective and are introduced to three women at a bar. They need your help and you choose a specific drink to begin the first case. You will undertake all cases eventually, so the order does not seem to matter. The #1 case involved a stalker, #2 focused on a power struggle at a company with advanced tech, and #3 dealt with a depressed actress. All cases are quite interesting, with twists and clandestine activities. Each one is roughly movie length. When you add the prologue and conclusion chapters, the first-run will take about 7 hours. While investigating, you are helped by your girl-Friday assistant, Kitty, who contacts you via phone and occasionally shows up. Holy Macaroni..... Gone in with low expectation especially with the cheap price, blown away with the creative concept and mature theme while in the middle of the game. The developers obviously know how to maximize their limited budget. I find it enjoyable. No sex but violence is involved. Choices matter between girls. Game treats you like an adult. Actresses are all great especially Kitty. Wonderful production, one can see its hard work. Not fully ENGLISH translated yet but the FMVs are already subbed with English, this indicates that they will add English interface and dialog choices in the future. Now back to investigate the girls, ahem, I mean the cases. Definitely inspired by CITY HUNTER. Based on the ending there is a sequel to this franchise. Good job.

This game took me by surprise. The concept was pretty interesting. Personally the highlight of the game is the main character. He is funny asf. The story is compelling and will push you to try the many branches of the game. The acting for the girls are really good that it felt like I was in a cdrama. I am surprise this is not a s popular as it should be, I have purchased the second installment immediatelly after finding out that it was out. There are many fanservice but it felt well blend together with the plot that it did not felt forced. The dialogues were well though and written well for my taste. Choice can be confusing but you need to pay attention to what they say to make the right choices, I would say the con of this game is UI (could be better) and lack of english translation for the options. There is a patch you can download at the guide section to patch it in english. Overall this game is a 9/10 for me. I would easily recommend this to anyone. I want to see more roles from the main character voice actor and script writting person.

Over-rated game. Full screen video quality not to my liking. Played in windowed screen mode. So far did not see all story branches only for this game. Played this game for the achievements.

Pros: -many beautiful and sexy women to spend time with -English sub-titles for the verbal conversations, but they are rough translations. -The story-tree is helpful if you want a 100% achievement. -$4.04 is a fair price (sales price) if you can read the Chinese choices or if you just want to hang out with the lovely ladies. Cons: -The interface, choices, and text messages have not been translated to English.
