Game of Rollink

This is one of the weirdest game I have ever encounter on steam . Negative from me because straight out of bat you are matched with 3 other AI players , little to non explanation of what and how , it is a weird combination of poker and arena fighting were you need to play with gold to raise your bet , fold or all in to win a match , and you get random troop cards to your hand , no option to choose anything or build your own deck to stand the chance against RNG and all random AI players , done 2 matches and every time I got to play against AI npc . Not much to it tbh . Would I recommend that game ? not really , but hey it's free so you might like it , I don't .

I'm rather confused as to who this is really for. For one, it's too random. You make no choices beyond what you're betting and when and where to throw powerups into the fight. I could get this if the cards drawn were fixed so you had some idea what you're betting on, but then before the fight random effects make the cards better or worse, so you're really just betting on that blind dice roll. Also this doesn't appear to be monetized in any way, which makes it confusing as a f2p game. Was this a tech demo? (Short answer: yes.) An abandoned project? I wanted answers to these questions so I started researching. Apparently CliCli is a Singaporean project of a woman named Kun Li. She has a github and in fact this game and others are open source. CliCli itself seems to want to compete with game engines like Unity and Godot. So... yeah, this "game" is really just a half-assed tech demo for a Singaporean game engine. It's a waste of space and time. Not that I wish any ill will to the developer, but this is not selling your engine product very well imo.

Trash game, needs to be removed from steam. The game devs don't even have a website.

I honestly feel like this game has very high potential. I see the concept and feel the implementation is a good start. The AI is a bit too aggressive at going All In. I'd love to see this development continue to a point that you have a bank balance that you can buy in to tourneys like a traditional f2p poker game. A little more structure/timing to the betting rounds would also help as there were a few times that I called a bet and then realized it had switched to All In right before I called.
