Geared

I like puzzle games, I found this one to be very disappointing. It is too short with only 30 puzzles and there is no tutorial of what the four different gears do. though you can figure it out, some example would have been nice. Not going to ask for a refund. I bought it, I played it will not purchase another game from this producer again. Do yourself a favor check out the puzzle game called LYNES. That is how you do a puzzle game.

I remember playing Geared on my iPhone 3GS on iOS 3.1.3. It was free BTW This was one of the games that really stood out for me: the physics, the mechanic, the haptic, sounds etc I am all for challenging games and this was perfect. But this Steam version is a rather simplistic version of the app I used to know: -only 30 levels and few of them actually challenging, with "no drop" gear zones -only 2 gear sizes -no achievements I do hope the developer continues this project and bring back this awesome game. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this for 7 euros as it does feel like an unfinished job so far.

OK for all those unable to run the game I have finally found a solution. Anyone who is able to run the game must already have the Micros*ft C Runtime Library installed and have the needed .dll files already on their system. To fix the game without downloading the whole runtime library; Google for and download msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll. Place these two files into the root directory of the game C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Geared and you should be good to go. No compatibility mode or running as admin needed.
