imperishable night if it was good Nah just kidding. On the surface this game is a cute little Mario Kart style racer featuring Touhou characters, but after playing a few hours I realised it's easily a deeper game to try to master. For a start, you essentially have access to two "karts" at all times, and the courses seem to have been designed to reward choosing a good team and switching between them at the right moments. On top of that, the item system is interesting. You have a meter that fills up over time, which you can spend to get an item. You can save up two bars of meter instead of one for a stronger item, which encourages you to be a little more thoughtful and strategic. Each character also has their own once-per-race "hyper" item that uses a separate meter to earn. That's much more exciting than just driving through boxes. Would I recommend this game in 2026? Yes if you like Touhou and/or have a group to play with. There's local splitscreen and an option for online play, but the latter scene seems to have entirely dried up as far as I can tell. There is also a short single-player campaign, but as a fangame it assumes you already know the setting and characters…
