Install game on Steam Deck then before launch
set compatibility to Proton experimental,
then change the default controller setting
to game controller with gamepad! enjoy! :D
Reach level 99 in this casual, chill game.
No dieing, no guns and no checkpoints! :P
Beat the developer's best time (25mins) to
reach level 99 by jumping from platform to
platform while avoiding mildly annoying and
randomized enemies that will make the player
fall to the bottom level!
Keyboard keys (PC Layout):
--A/Left to go Left
--D/Right to go Right
--J to Jump
--R to Restart
--M to change music
--ENTER to skip cinematic
--Spacebar to play/pause intro cinematic
--ESC to Quit
SteamDeck buttons (controller layout)
--DpadLeft/LeftjoysticktotheLeft to go Left
--DpadRight/LeftjoysticktotheRight to go Right

Hi all o7 The game is harder than it looks! Remember the controls when you play it: Keyboard keys (PC Layout): --A/Left to go Left --D/Right to go Right --J to Jump --R to Restart --M to change music --ENTER to skip cinematic --Spacebar to play/pause cinematic --ESC to Quit (you need to tap J to jump higher) It also has a fun intro and characters in the background that some of you might recognize along the way. George McGeehan Gamer Hero is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This dismally failed platformer features 2D retro pixel graphics, locked controls, no mouse input, and a "jumping on light fixtures to save a cat" theme that nobody cared about. Seriously. Read below for the SteamDB figures. Or I should say "figure". Bit of a spoiler there. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a…2 found this helpful
