A shooter that should probably be offered for free. The game says at the start that it was made with a game engine. I'm not sure how much of the assets are custom, if any, because I'm unfamiliar with the program. The gameplay is typical of a first-person shooter. It's a straightforward point-and-shoot game with no sophisticated mechanics. There is no story, only stages to finish before losing all three lives. Your main weapons are a handgun and a machine gun. It makes no difference which one you choose because they both work well. Enemies are brain-dead since they just stand there and cannot see you from across the street. This allows you to take them from a safe distance. However, if they come close enough, you'll be dead in a matter of seconds. That’s why your health recharges on its own after a few seconds. Despite the fact that the stages take place outside, they are fully linear and force you to travel in a straight line. Because you can't even blow up fuel barrels when shooting at them, there's no interaction with the world. The second stage is broken and can’t be finished. You’re supposed to reach the extraction point, but nothing happens when you get there. There are…

Warning: GameGuru Asset Flip!
Getting Out Alive is a what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" bought the GameGuru first person shooter construction kit (no coding required, it's just a GUI!) and cobbled out a map or two using stock GameGuru assets... nothing in this game can fully be called the creation of the developer, and yet they also failed to acknowlegde any of the GameGuru assets. They're trying (badly) to pass someone else's work as their own. It's just a bunch of random GameGuru assets dropped around a really lazy, stock textured GameGuru map template. This asset flip is so badly done it's even using the default GameGuru launch screen and "options" page... and let's be clear, GameGuru is a completely godawful construction kit. If you try to take it seriously as a game, you'll find no resolution or graphics tweaks, no controller tweaks... it's horribly optimised and will be sluggish even on high end rigs. You can make the argument that GameGuru exists to just make demos and little experimental games to pass around with friends, but that's not what's happened here... the developer is serious…

Unplayable for a left handed gamer; can't change sensitivity, can't change keybinds. Map looks like it was made by a 12 year old roblox level designer.. I wouldn't even call this a demo.

Getting Out Alive is a compact first-person shooter that embraces a simple but effective premise: survive hostile territory and find a way back to safety. Developed and published by DIG Games, the title places players in the role of a soldier stranded behind enemy lines, forcing them to battle through dangerous environments filled with armed opponents. Rather than relying on a complex narrative or cinematic storytelling, the game focuses on delivering a direct action experience where every objective revolves around staying alive and pushing forward toward freedom. The game's strongest quality is its straightforward design. From the moment the adventure begins, players understand their mission and are encouraged to concentrate on combat and survival. The first-person perspective creates a sense of immersion that keeps the action engaging, allowing players to experience firefights from a personal viewpoint. This approach suits the game's military theme, making each encounter feel immediate and giving players a clear connection to the battlefield. Getting Out Alive emphasizes modern weaponry as the primary tool for overcoming obstacles. The selection of firearms supports the game's …
