Deadfall Adventures

Its fun and worth it if you get it on sale. First third is great, second third breaks down into a lot of gun fights. Third area... it has the parts that the first area does well but tries to make it harder by throwing waves of enemies at you. Its to the point it stops being scary/suprising and starts being something you expect when you do certain things. I liked the puzzles and exploration, they had some good puzzles. Its the combat that it falls down on. That said, both the puzzles and combat can be scaled to your preference so that is a point in its favor. In short, if you want a campy adventure that isn't trying to be anything other than what it is, this ones good for some fun.

fun game, a bit old and with some stupid bugs, but play windows 8 compatible and check some community advice, everything will go fine. Have fun!

Recommended. A pulp-adventure shooter racing Nazis and Soviets across three temples for a lost artefact, whose flashlight-reveal combat and genuinely varied puzzles reward exploration despite heavy-handed hints. Shining light on mummies renders them vulnerable, turning horde encounters into light-management puzzles with clear lineage to the genre's famous light-based horror. The puzzle catalogue (sliding puzzles, symbol columns, Mayan tiles, weight scales) is genuinely deep, treasure collectibles feed three upgrade paths, and set-pieces (mine cart, plane crash, collapsing ruins) keep the globe-trotting fresh. Companions solve or over-explain puzzles the moment they arrive, the sliding puzzle offers no reset once fouled, treasure maps point to spaces that never match level geometry, and spawn-heavy arenas occasionally feel endless. Rough edges abound, but the charm and puzzle craft earn the recommendation.
