An elegant gacha for a more civilized age."[/h2] The original GFL is a solid squad management game marrying Kancolle-style logistics gameplay to captivating cyberpunk-dystopian visual novel storytelling about the horrors of war and the nature of humanity that can, in its peak moments, easily keep up with the best of Hollywood's storytelling, with the VN chapters accompanied by beautifully drawn artworks that convey the gritty nature of the setting and the emotional impact of a narrative that stands in harsh contrast to the cute chibis that you'll see shooting it out in the actual battle segments. The interface *will* seem overwhelming and cluttered at first (a sort of early preview at the messy UIX designs that gacha games in particular have become infamous for, on account of a design school that seems to place great emphasis on stacking systems upon systems and currencies upon currencies), but the tutorial is solid and players should quickly get the hang of it after only a few hours.
