About Glassy Stare

"Wilbur has a meeting today—one he’s been waiting for with a quiet, particular kind of anticipation. His fiancée is expected to arrive in the lush garden by his estate. In the evening, when the air fills with the scent of damp earth and faded blossoms, they will sit together on the bench near the dry fountain and, as before, speak softly, almost in whispers, unaware of how time slips by.Very soon, he’ll say something tender—perhaps the same words he spoke to her last May, or the winter before that.Very soon… the illness will pass.""Glassy stare" is the first story in a collection of visual novels, united by a dark, mysterious world, intense emotions, and vivid imagery.- A visual novel with a deep, psychological narrative- Unique visual style blending abstraction and symbolism- Dark, atmospheric presentation with horror elements- Poetic writing and meditative storytelling- No complex mechanics: focus on mood, choices, and interpretation

The game is in Russian or something. Can't recommend it if I can't play it.

I can't seem to find an artist credited and some of the visuals look... a bit wonky... but there is no AI disclosure so I will err on the side of believing that this was created entirely by human hands. It's a perfectly scary little horror story-- it actually reminded me of the stories included in "The King In Yellow", though it clearly references Poe's work.

Beautiful story-telling mixed with an amazing presentation. Underrated game for sure, this game is right up your ally if you like psychological horror and visual novels.

15 to 20 minutes for a pretty good short story. I liked it and think it's worth recommending.
