About Glitchy Apocalypse Simulator
DISCLAIMER: Made by one dev and his kid. Uses assets. Lots of assets.
Glitchy Apocalypse Simulator is a comical physics-based game. It uses the amazing Puppet Master asset, but is left unmodified for comical effects. The game is a light-hearted, comical sandbox and makes no attempts at realism or strategy. Many effects may be considered bugs, but some effort was made to filter out annoying bugs and only leave in comical bugs.
We make no claims on producing everything in this game. Many of the great things in this game are available for general use on the Unity store and we encourage using Glitchy Apocalypse Simulator as a stepping stone for your own creativity. We did, however, write the software that ties everything together.
Features
- sandbox mode
- 36 silly units (assets with custom AI written by us)
- a handful of maps (assets with modifications)
This game is primarily meant as a sandbox. We do have some campaign scenarios, but they are mostly experiments/prototypes. Mostly we just drop a bunch of units everywhere and watch the chaos :P

This game offers a goofy, physics focused sandbox experience that doesn’t take realism or strategy too seriously. It’s a bit buggy, but still very enjoyable and definitely worth playing.
"Glitchy Apocalypse Simulator" is a tech demo from amateur developers, who were at least up front in admitting this is just an asset flip. And they're not trying to profit from it, so that's something. It still doesn't make this a product that has any value for gamers. What do you do in the game? You basically pick one of a number of asset flipped maps and drop a bunch of mobs on it and watch them beat each other up. Is this fun? Not really. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. But they're up front about it, so at least they're not being unethical about it like most asset flippers are. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in thi…
it does what it says on the tin.
