This is one of the worst games I have ever played. I played this game with a few of my friends and it was brain-meltingly bad at nearly every topic that could be failed at. The UI design was extremely confusing and not to mention ugly, it had practically no setting to choose from and the ones that are there changed almost nothing. The gameplay was so bad that none of us could last five minutes of playing the game to even have an ounce of want to keep playing. It was confusing, and had absolutely no resemblance of a tutorial for the relatively hard to understand game. Not to mention that when playing the "turn based mode" all of us could place things at any given moment. Plus the low effort bit map of the world. You can't even move the camera around, the only way to look around the map is to zoom out and make it harder to see what's going on. The gist of the gameplay is that you protect your king by placing cities and drills using a money system, except that nothing is explained to you at all. Would be very fun, if there was a way to play singleplayer. There are nearly no moments when you can actually play this, but if you have other friends that play steam I recommend it I think.

The "chessboard" is actually a world map, and you move pieces around while building structures—so it’s chess, kind of, but not really? I managed to get someone to play with me, but they quit before we could even figure out how the game ends. Visually, it looks like it was made in MS Paint—super rough around the edges. Interesting idea, maybe, but it’s hard to tell with how unfinished and empty it feels.

"Global Chess" is yet annother attempt from an amateur developer who's doing something nobody else has done before, improving chess... and every time a developer does this (happens a lot) it's always a disaster. In this case the developer didn't even bother finishing the game and just walked off, but even then the players left first. This was a garbage attempt to make a chessboard roughly the same size as the planet earth. Nobody liked that. What's the game about? This game is an unimpressive attempt at a turn-based strategy title, trying to pass itself off as a chess variant centered around global conquest. It forces players into tedious resource management and constructing basic buildings. Gameplay seems limited to positioning pieces and engaging in simple online player-versus-player matches. The developers abandoned this 4 years and 1 month ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but…
