About Global Farmer
Farm the world in an immersive top-down management game. It's up to you if you prefer to experience a rich strawberry harvest in the French countryside or if you like farming in the hot sun of South America. Choose your farm’s location anywhere on a real-world map and become a Global Farmer!
Choose your location
Based on real-world data from OpenStreetMap, you can play anywhere in the world. Explore your own neighborhood from the perspective of a budding farmer, or try to become a successful agriculture magnate conquering the world.Organize your farm space
Build your own farming infrastructure with things like storage facilities, parking for your vehicles, paths to get around your farm, sheds for your animals and many more. Purchase a variety of equipment inspired by real-world agricultural vehicles and implements.Develop the best crop rotation
Various environmental factors influence the growth and success of your crops: Daily changing temperature, sunshine hours and rainfall make up the requirements of optimal crop growth. Nutrients (NPK) and the soil composition further influence the growth and success of your crops. Investigate different field values and choose the most effective crop rotation. Plant the correct crops in the right areas, manage many different fields in parallel and watch your income increase.Buy and care for livestock
Construct barns and sheds for 3 types of farm animals. Assign fields as pastures and make sure that your animals stay fed during all seasons and temperatures by moving them between the green grasslands and your warm farm. In return, they will reward you with profitable milk, wool and eggs.Create and share your own maps
Struggling because you live in an area with little data? Use our level editor and create your own unique field maps based on the real world OSM data. Afterwards you can share those with the community via the Steam Workshop.Embrace the regional challenges
Ready for a challenge? Try to cultivate various crops across different continents. The weather and pricing will adapt according to the precise coordinates you select, reflecting global real-world data. Soil conditions, including texture and pH levels, will also vary depending on the region chosen.Fulfill Contracts

Isn't very intuitive as a game, immediately overwhelmed with information, and ultimately the game play loop doesn't seem all that enjoyable. Not saying its a bad game, just isn't for me.11 found this helpful
At this point, this game seems rather simplistic. The satellite map data adds a layer of interest, but not sophistication. The lay of the land seems to matter relatively little, and once you factor in the general climate, it seems like you can plant just about anything that will grow remotely well and turn a profit, even on hard mode, as long as you spam the fields with water and fertilizer. At that point, management becomes a whack-a-mole process of simply staying on top of your field conditions. The other issue is that tree crops like olives are planted and harvested just like grain and other crops. This seems like a big miss, since wheat grows in months and olive trees can stand for centuries. I shouldn't have to re-seed them, or even get to re-seed them, once planted, Nor should they yield fruit immediately. That's a realism-breaking issue IMHO. This game shows promise but there's a long way to go before it becomes a sophisticated reflection of farming or management.10 found this helpful
Global Farmer by Thera Bytes GmbH and published by Aerosoft GmbH is a farming simulation that sets itself apart through an ambitious and unusual concept: giving players the ability to establish and manage a farm almost anywhere on the real-world map. Instead of relying on pre-designed regions or fictional landscapes, the game draws from global geographical data to generate playable environments, allowing players to experiment with agriculture across different climates, terrains, and conditions. This idea immediately gives the game a strong sense of scale and uniqueness, as it shifts the focus from a single farm to a worldwide sandbox of possibilities. The gameplay emphasizes management and planning rather than direct control of farming equipment. Players oversee their operations from a top-down perspective, making decisions about where to build infrastructure, which crops to grow, and how to allocate resources effectively. This approach places the experience closer to a strategy or tycoon game than a traditional farming simulator. Expanding a farm involves constructing facilities, organizing supply chains, and ensuring that production runs efficiently, creating a loop centered on …4 found this helpful

Honestly a simple and straightforward game, only downside is there isnt a sandbox mode. Personally I think sandbox mode would make this game 10x more fun, just because the cash making in this game is a bit more difficult than most games.1 found this helpful
