Grab the Bottle

This game is really awesome. Especially its challenging puzzles and varied levels. It's also worth mentioning the bosses (the bird, the crocodile, and Death) — the levels with them are executed perfectly. I'll be waiting for Grab the Bottle 2

I was cleaning the trash games when I came across this game, which I had farmed trading cards back in 2018. I played a bit and decided to give it a try again and see whether it deserved to stay in my library. It’s okay. A bit like Snake, except your goal is to grab a specific bottle while carefully planning your route. Along the way you need to pick up other items first, and drop heavy or sharp objects to break through layers and reach what you need. You also have to avoid hitting anything or trapping yourself with your own arm. The hardest part isn’t just making sure you leave enough space to squeeze back through narrow areas — it’s the controls. And once you make a mistake, the arm usually won’t retract far enough for you to correct the path, so you often have no choice but to restart the entire level. By today’s standards it is outdated. Still, if you enjoy a challenge and like puzzles it’s worth considering, especially now at 80% off. Puzzle games have never been my forte, and this one i didnt like much either. Game expects you to have quick reactions(which apparently i dont have :D) while moving about with a very sensitive hand. The hand in question and several objects in the levels have at least interesting hitboxes. Boss levels are just horrible evading of obstacles, negating most puzzle elements. Yet the game has an interesting mechanic and there is clearly a clever story written. If you like puzzle games, try to grab the bottle.

Such a great game. Hard puzzles but not to hard to give up and the art was so good that i felt i was growing up together with the character.
