Hamachi the Psychotic Killer

apologies - very long review incoming! but i got a lot of thoughts about the game, as i've been following it for a long while. sorry if this comes across as mean spirited, that's not my intention! i do just kinda want to say some criticism about the game and where i think it could or could've improved, as well as some extra stuff i've noticed. (there's a TL;DR for those who just want the summary too.) anyway, the premise for this game was very interesting to me, so its exciting to finally see this game release! i played through most of the content, and the gameplay is very fun! there are a lot of unique enemies, stages, and mechanics that show up. the music is great too, and im a big fan of the art style. i love how the game has three routes for how you play too, and especially for the geno ending, i feel it really paid off. overall, i'd recommend this game for anyone looking for a platformer with the bad guy twist! but theres some stuff i really gotta mention here too. spoilers are coming up, but i do think some of this stuff is important to mention if you're interested. the original premise (i believe) was that you play as someone who's lost their touch with reality and as a r…

I would say this game is overall pretty decent. POSITIVE THINGS ABOUT THIS GAME: It is very silly, or at least tries to be a lot of the time. The pacifist run was trying to be at least a little light-hearted, most of the jokes managed to at least make me smile. A lot of the bosses were fun to play against, even if it could be confusing or frustrating at times. The sprite art was really good, I thought everything was consistent with it's style, and it really feels like it holds up to it's source inspiration. EVERYTHING NEGATIVE I HAD TO SAY: The platforming is a bit hit or miss, it's either balls easy or I wanna claw my eyes out from frustration. It's mostly because of the CRAZY high gravity the devs added, it makes your jumps feel like you're a damn rock sometimes. Another struggle point was in World 5, with the [spoiler]Sushi Roll Run[/spoiler]. The jumps felt very un-telagraphed, and you kinda just had to die at the same part like 17 times to even get it over with. The sound design is OK, but the jump noise needs tuning down. I remember playing the demo in 2019, where the main character was simply a psychopath, no Demon Queen ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Still very happy with the direction the game's plot has taken. Hoping for the release of a DLC or the soundtrack in the future.

please make an easy mode or something, the bosses are way too hard compared to the normal levels, and the warioware section is absolutely too punishing
