I fell in love with Laplacian after playing Cyanotype Daydream. And now, after Harmonic Reflection, I love them even more. Ono Wasabi is now one of my favorite writers. Harmonic Reflection is such a cozy visual novel. "Cozy" is probably the best word to describe it. The story is lyrical and meditative. The visuals are gorgeous. I spent so much time just admiring the CGs, backgrounds, and character sprites. The extra ending felt completely unnecessary to me. It seemed like it was only added so fans of the other heroine wouldn't complain. As far as I'm concerned, the extra ending doesn't exist.7 found this helpful
Loved it. About 7 hrs to complete and I think there’s the ability to play a what if alternative path scenario I heard on a review. I will def try that. The twist is not earth shattering, but it doesn’t need to be. The story is wholesome, a close-knit group of friends with a past that shines through by the end. I rather enjoyed that it was sub 20 hrs. I like more compact stories without too much fluff. The dialogue was very natural and the music accompanied it perfectly. Great art. Highly recommeded2 found this helpful
Developed and published by Laplacian, HARMONIC REFLECTIONS is a narrative-focused visual novel that blends romance, mystery, and coming-of-age themes into an emotionally engaging experience. The story follows Aruto Mozumi, a high school student haunted by fragmented childhood memories and a strange condition that prevents him from hearing the sound of the piano, an instrument that once played a meaningful role in his life. While struggling to live in the shadow of his gifted younger brother, Aruto's ordinary days take an unexpected turn after meeting a mysterious girl who claims to remember events that have not yet happened. This intriguing premise creates an effective balance between everyday school life and supernatural intrigue, inviting players to gradually uncover the truth behind Aruto's forgotten past. Rather than relying on dramatic action sequences, the game succeeds through its thoughtful character development and emotionally grounded storytelling. Aruto's personal journey is filled with themes of self-doubt, family expectations, friendship, and the challenge of confronting painful memories. His interactions with the game's two heroines are carefully written, with each r…
the story is interesting and the visual are beautiful. nice story
Another good visual novel from Laplacian. Story is very good (but a bit short), artwork is top notch and syncro/music is very good. The story feels well paced and there isnt realy much filler going on. Both endings feel satisfing (the first one is the better one imo). sadly no real choices outside of the 2 you get on the second read to get ending 2, so no real altanative routes besides the two main ones. all in all a 9/10 with a nice ending and nice bgm.
sari cute, too short
