a badly voiced intro sets up the story, then choose between timed or relax mode. separate volumes, windowed mode and a tutorial toggle are the only other settings, can't turn off the incredibly annoying, continuous glint effect, nor lightning if it's raining during a level, which would be a nice touch otherwise. I could've also done without achievement progress pop-ups, and while the end-of-level star and score counter can be skipped, the 5-second 'level complete' message can't be. Yes. A very relaxing and a great Match-3 to space out to. Except for battles. There is a bit of a story and A LOT OF levels. Like 200... And they have this mechanic that let's you change the board layout! I've never seen anything like it. Got a thing stuck in a corner? NOT ANYMORE! Board exploders (from matching 4+) are hella fun to use. Just know they destroy their own... Instead of detonating them. There is some variety too, as it's not only Match-3. There is some HOG (Hidden Object play) and Find the Difference and like I already said, BATTLES. Just power stuff up and throw it at the enemy... Except for the Healing Bag... You don't want to throw that. Oh and you also re-build the island. Something to look forward to. I saw the ending... But my question is this... If this artifact has magical powers... Wouldn't...? You know... "Those people" take it away from them or steal it? That mask is going to escape isn't it? I know it's going to go off on it's own. That's how you make another game with that story line. :p Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! =) :3 :D1 found this helpful
excellent
Enjoyable, if a bit monotonous/long-winded. Glad there are other modes to break up the match-3 portions, such as spot the difference and hidden object. Story helps too. Most levels take less than 5 mins to complete. Overall a decent casual game. You'll probably get 10-20 hours out of it depending on your pace. Recommend, if you want something to pass the time in short sessions.
A fun and addictive match 3 adventure game with occasional "fights" and occasional find the differences puzzles. Expect around 14 hours of gameplay. Works fine on Linux with Proton.
A linear gauntlet of 200 levels, with only the faintest intrusion of plot along the way. The perfect game for when you need chill vibes. The majority of the gameplay consists of classic match-3 puzzles, with the usual obstacles of ice, chains, boxes, etc. There are also trap squares that manipulate the obstacles in some way, either by adding them or removing them from the board. Clearing four or more symbols at once spawns an upgraded symbol which unleashes a powerful clear attack when matched. Each upgraded symbol has its own clear pattern; for example: the upgraded scroll clears one vertical and one horizontal line centered on itself, and the upgraded healing elixir clears all other healing elixirs on the board. Additionally, there is a toggle button that lets you rearrange the physical shape of the board if you get stuck. It recharges every ten seconds, and is a very effective and innovative gimmick. Peppered alongside the classic match-3 puzzles are a handful of hidden object screens, spot-the-difference puzzles, match-3 digging challenges, and match-3 fighting battles. These act as palate cleansers to keep the game from feeling too samey or monotonous. Aesthetics-wise, th…
