Hexual Deflection is a minimalist real-time strategy and competitive tower defense hybrid developed and published by reiti.net. Designed around quick multiplayer sessions and streamlined mechanics, the game strips the RTS genre down to its bare essentials while still maintaining the tension and tactical decision-making that define competitive strategy games. Instead of sprawling maps, complex tech trees, and dozens of unit types, the experience focuses on fast matches where players rapidly expand their territory, defend their base, and attempt to eliminate opponents in a shared hex-grid battlefield. The central concept of the game revolves around survival and territorial control within a hexagonal grid arena. This game is quite fun vs other players. AI isn't bad either.

a fascinating little game with what are some apparent (at least to me) strategies, but lacks any sort of interesting late game due to the capped economy. great to play with friends when its a 1.25$ not sure if id pay 5$ for it.

Fantastic little game. I just wish there was more of it.

Really, really dislike this one. Even on the most simple settings, with the fewest foes I simply get steamrolled. The only level I found winnable was the tutorial, when my tower is invulnerable, and even then I should have lost. It looks like there is mazing, but there is none, the attackers swarm straight towards your base and destroy all your towers in short order regardless. And there are no strategic upgrades or tactical actions. It is simply not fun at all. Three thumbs down.
