Hexed is a colorful, fast-paced tower defense game with engaging customization mechanics that let players fine-tune towers and troops to their preferred playstyle, supported by solid visuals and music that keep dedicated players engaged. However, the game suffers from significant technical issues including broken tower building and unit pathfinding bugs that make core gameplay non-functional for some players, combined with a steep learning curve and minimal tutorial that frustrates newcomers, while developer communication appears non-existent.
Apparently broken possibly abandoned? Can't get a response from the developers, but nothing really seems to work. Can't build any towers. Even if I have the money required, it just gives a nasty buzz. A few times a tower showed up on the map, but they never fired, and at the end of the game I still got the result, zero towers built. I can build troops, but they ignore the enemies and run right past them. The entire thing makes no sense. Four thumbs down, not worth getting even if it's free.1 found this helpful
Hexed is a fast-paced, colorful, and customizable tower defense game that is sure to keep you entertained for hours on end. With its endless procedurally generated levels and fully customizable troops and towers, no two games are ever the same. One of the things that makes Hexed so much fun is its customization options. You can build your towers and troops with the exact stats you want, allowing you to create a unique playstyle that suits your preferences. This is especially important in the later levels, where the enemies become increasingly challenging. Another great thing about Hexed is its multiplayer mode. You can team up with up to 6 other players to take on the endless levels together. This is a great way to work together and come up with new strategies to defeat the enemy. Overall, Hexed is a great tower defense game that is sure to appeal to a wide range of players. It is easy to learn but difficult to master, and its endless replayability makes it a great value for your money. **Pros:** * Endless procedurally generated levels * Fully customizable troops and towers * Up to 6 player online multiplayer * Level up your abilities as you play * Solo and Co-Op leaderboards …
a simple tower defense game, I hope new features are added to achieve a complex and robust game.
Fast-paced tower defense running continuously until you die, without any pause between "levels". Because of the speed it feels like a hybrid between tower defense and arcade game. Instead of a bunch of different tower types, you get sliders where you can choose the best combination of speed, range, damage, etc, with higher stat towers costing more. The combination of design choices makes the game feel fresh and not particularly derivative of other well known TD games. Note, however, that means there is a real learning curve and the tutorial is very short. You are expected to learn everything by trial, error, and frequent death (at least at first). Personally I prefer this kind of design, but if you like more hand-holding this game may be overly frustrating. FYI there are several modes, I suggest starting with last man standing, as it gives you a little more time before the enemy reaches your base even if you play poorly. The UI feels very much touch inspired (or perhaps is even a mobile first design, ported to steam?). Happily, this means it plays great on my touch screen (an older ms-surface). As you might expect, even a modest GPU can more than handle the game, though my machi…
This game is really cool as it combines tower defense and troop tactics, offering a visually engaging and very challenging gameplay. I didn't quite gets the game during my first play but you'll quickly learn it as you keep playing. It's fun to play, not boring at all—totally worth it.
A really fun tower defense game that has an actual learning curve, Loved the vfx/gfx and the bgm was just too perfect and fitting for the game. The customization is the thing that is keeping me hooked on this game. An absolute banger of strategy tower defense game would highly recommend.
