Very chill with the gameplay and music. Could use some polish, but nothing too bad. Be sure to get a pen and paper ready, there's a lot of trial by error with the potion making.

Hocus Potions is a free to play Unity based 2D retro pixel JRPG style adventure game where you control a witch and perform various inventory management tasks to create potions, what fun. Resolution and controls are locked, and can't be changed or customised to improve the visuals or the control experience. A choice was made to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. The game does not display correctly in fullscreen, defaulting to a pillarboxed 4:3 type aspect ratio. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. Not really sure...what this game is doing...I guess it's a potion making game? I dunno...I just...feel nothing about it. Loaded it up, had no idea what to do, had no desire to figure it out.
