Horingar: Darkside

In the sea of adult games that come out every year, there are ones that stand out . They are made with care, love and intention. They have actual story, plot and character development. Solid game mechanics and great art. This is one of those games. This could have been a non-adult RPG and have been just as good, the adult aspects just make it that more enjoyable. If you're looking for something super solid with spice to it then I can't recommend this enough.

i usually dont like RPGM games but this one is amazing. Art is 10/10 and the story and narrative choices make it very compelling, among the rewards.

Game is very fun. Has funny moments, but mostly keeps a serious tone. Gameplay is reminiscant of old-school turn-based rpgs with a little something something on the top. Skill tree is intuitive and builds vary. Fishing minigame, crafting, shops.. It's PACKING a lot (if you know what I mean)! I am sure you can SQUEEZE at least 10-20 hours from it (especially if playing with one hand).

As far as story goes, this is a real gem. Unlike far too many adult RPGM games, the writing and plot were clearly planned out and given real effort. The spelling and grammar could stand some corrections, but it's not hard to figure out what the writers mean. The overall plot is fairly trite, but the specifics are unique enough to make it forgivable. This is very much a story-driven game and most enjoyable to those who want such. The puzzle paths and sex scenes are where things go bad for me. The former often have little or no clues while the latter are just bland and boring. The goblin merchant being a random spawn across multiple maps, especially when doing Balinda's quest, means you'll sink quite a few hours just looking for her. The final quests for Lola and Denver both require Reinald to be afflicted by high levels of lust to complete, which I've yet to accomplish because it goes up so slowly with no way to accelerate its gain. This is a game more for those interested in a story, not in collecting CGIs.

Amazing story and great game :)

The art style is distinctive with a gorgous gothic tileset instead of the standard RPG Maker fair. The story is fairly original and not half bad - but it lacks a clear three Act structure, so ending comes off as abrupt even if the amount of content is technically sufficient. There are about seven primary romanceable characters and perhaps a dozen other characters, with human drawn scenes I think. Horingar: Darkside would probably be somewhat grindy and difficult if I embraced the combat loop that RPG Maker games come packaged with - but the game fortunately offers an upfront option to skip almost all the grind. All-in-all: A rare adult game I'll actually remember in a week's time.
