About Hover
Master gravity-defying parkour in a colorful futuristic city as you lead a team of rebels against an oppressive regime that's banned fun itself. Switch seamlessly between solo and multiplayer modes, create custom challenges with an in-game editor, and pull off insane tricks and combos while racing, sneaking, and battling both AI and players worldwide.
The game takes place in ECP17, a high-tech city also called Hover City by its inhabitants and located on a distant planet. The Great Admin cut the communication with the Galactic Union and established a strong dictatorship. Having fun has become illegal and entertainment is banished.

You're in charge of a team of young rebels, the Gamers, fighting against the new anti-leisure laws oppressing the city. Equipped with high-tech gears allowing amazing jumps and speed, they roam the city to sabotage the propaganda, help citizens, and find a way to reach the Orbital Station. This way they could warn the Galactic Union and put an end to the oppression.

100% The first area, played through the story. finished the story, started completing side missions and unlocking all the characters, started making builds for said characters to use when needed. decide to make a new character but all team slots full. go to delete character but accidently delete whole team, panic and Alt + F4 game. realise cant get back progress but kept all my characters. have to start all over again completing missions + rank + story. 10/10 game would do again5 found this helpful
This hidden gem is a mix of Mirrors Edge, Tony Hawks Pro Skater and Jet Set Radio. If you want to do hardcore parkour while dodging e-cops, spraying graffiti and freeing the city from an oppressive regime, this is the game for you. The game really opens up after the tutorial and the movement becomes more fluid as you upgrade your character(s). I found the base controls to be a little janky so you might want to create custom binds. Between the race missions, basketball/slamball-esque modes, chases, open world exploration, storytelling and a real sense of progression, I'm continually surprised by how much Hover has to offer. Its the indie title that keeps on giving and drawing me back.1 found this helpful
If I had three wishes, I'd use my first two so I could play this game again for the first time. I'd save my third wish for a billion dollars.1 found this helpful

dont let the playercount fool you, its a pretty fun game with many races/missions and many many more side thingies to collect/break/spray. and if you dont feel like doing that, parkouring around the maps is pretty fun on itself. highly recommended with the unofficial patch from the workshop that adds a bunch of QOL and custom map support. for linux users: change the compatibility tool to any proton version, since the linux version is outdated from the latest windows one. the bad: the vr support is kind of a lie, its on a seperate game version which is one of the early access builds, with many features missing, pretty much abandoned, but i guess its there if you want to try it. the bad 2: as one reviewer said, if you dont like a certain type of mission, you still have to pass 1-3 of them to progress the story forward, with parkour races being the majority of missions ofc.
