About How to Fool a Liar King
"How to Fool a Liar King" is a fully voiced cute romantic otome visual novel.
The story begins after the ending of "How to Take Off Your Mask."
However, you don't need to have played the previous game to understand the story.
You may enjoy the story more if you do, though.
The game features a new character "Regina" as the new heroine.
Regina, our heroine, magically appears in Eroolia.
She has no idea how she ended up in Eroolia, and here, she meets Juli and his companions, whom she ends up joining on their journey to Laarz, a country of cat people.
Will she be able to return home?
Is Regina's presence in Eroolia an accident or is there a purpose behind it?
Can she trust Juli who seems to be full of secrets?
Eroolia and Laarz are the two countries located within the island of Eroolia, which is known as the isolated, cursed island to the outside world.
The two countries have terrible relations, as Eroolia, which is mostly occupied by humans, can't get along with Laarz, which is known as the country of the luccretias, the cat people.
Ozzwa, the country where Regina is from, is just outside the island of Eroolia and is known for its martial arts.

If you have not played the prequel, I encourage you to do so before hand as I felt it made the romance in this one twice as enjoyable. The Love interest is first introduced in HTTOYM and by the end of that game, I was very very excited to play this one as I knew it was going to be full of lighthearted humor. Sure enough I was right, and the MC is perfect for the misfit Juli. Personally, I kind of feel slightly turned away from playing the sequel as the MC who is introduced in this story is very pushy. Granted she has valid reasons, so take what I said with a grain of salt. Also if you are looking for a series similar to this one, I would recommend the Holiday otome series that is free to play on itch.io1 found this helpful
Found the game series originally on the app store and decided to buy the series in the bundle- so here are my thoughts on this game (writing this review LONG after playing, so forgive me for my lack of detail): To be honest, it was okay as a game? I'm not sure exactly what it was about it that made me not like it as much as the other games in the series, but I genuinely could not enjoy it no matter how hard I tried? Maybe it's just because of how they handled the two leads? Usually I like character dynamics like them- but I guess the way they were handled in this game made me not like it all that much. Still, if you're a fan of the series overall, I'd say play it for the heck of it since this game segways into the 3rd installment fairly well.
generally a really sweet and short game, though no real replay value unless u wanna come back months later for just a breath of fresh air. a really cute and wholesome game where u can just sit for a couple hours and destress, and have a couple laughs at the MC and others. personally, im a longtime fan of the series, so i'd def reccommend buying it, but i'd say to get it (and the other games) all on sale like i did!
How to Fool a King Liar
I really enjoyed this, it wasn't as good as How To Take Off Your Mask but it was nice to see a different side to Juli. My favourite path was Regina's as it just felt more natural, either way it is an enjoyable story that I 100% recommend to Otome fans.
