A short, surreal visual novel about death and grief The art is beautiful, yet unsettling at the same time. I can't say much about the UI, besides being well done, tho lacking a "rewind" option. Maybe it’s because I’m lacking the right mindset for a serious game like this—in fact, I admit I didn’t give it enough time to really take it in and engage with it—but the game didn’t leave a strong impression on me... I feel like I might not fully understand it. Even so, I liked the game’s symbolism—for example, the way the “guilt” the protagonist feels manifests as a parasitic entity masquerading as her mother, which easily attaches itself to the MC and her brother, as well as the whole bus trip being a way for the character to face what she's running away from. One thing I'll take away from the game is that we can’t escape the suffering and guilt we feel; we have to face them on, grieve and do our best to move forward.2 found this helpful
Well that was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. The game is short, somber and fairly surreal as well as genuinely unnerving at times. Probably makes more sense to people who relate to aspects of the subject matter. Enjoyed the surreal and dream-like (nightmare-like?) atmosphere and think it fit rather well for the story, especially the bus aspect giving it a "restless escapist running away from something" feel. Probably be coming back to it for the other endings and/or when I need to think about some stuff.1 found this helpful
Lovely game, weird art and great atmosphere with an interesting story. There are also quite a few variations, if you bother to go looking for them. Not all choices matter, but some really do. Also, the game is nowhere near as long my unreasonable playtime makes it look. That's just because I was playing in a language I'm not good at for practice.1 found this helpful
Fun story with many different endings1 found this helpful
Good art, good story, good VN
Genuinely, breath taking story. I'm so glad I got this game. It's so ethereal and, at the same time, grounded. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.
