About IFO

IFO is part of the CosmOS 9 bundle, a set of 9 puzzle games discovered on a mysterious, alien video game console drifting through outer space.

IFO appears to be a simulation of the main functionalities of an alien spaceship. In order to keep its usability intact, we decided to share it with the public without altering the game's language and presentation, allowing users to learn how to really control these spacecrafts.

Inspect, experiment and tinker with the enigmatic spaceship's controls.

Observe, hypothesize and figure out the rules and objectives of the different sections.

Prove your understanding and finish the entrusted mission.

Never knew investigating a spaceship could be so enjoyable! Nothing is in English, nothing is translatable to English. Your essentially vibing, and the game is amazing for it. Since nothing is English based, you won't get stuck trying to translate perfectly. Instead, you'll play around until you understand. It's also quite short, and in a good way, as it doesn't overstay its welcome. It also avoids the pitfall of not knowing where to go next.

This was a cute set of rule discovery puzzles. It took me just under an hour to complete. There's much less guesswork than what the other reviews are suggesting, though getting to the solutions was sometimes trial and error.

I knew from the start the game would take less than an hour to complete, yet I still feel underwhelmed and misled. Basically, this game is comparable to a single biome from Cipher Zero—you only get around 25 levels that mostly follow the same formula. By itself, I see no problem in a small creative game that explores a single mechanic well, but I would never call it an "ever-changing rule discovery puzzle".

There was one or two parts that were difficult, but it was a nice think-outside-the-box set of puzzles.

That was awesome! Love it when a puzzle feels impossible at first, but you can still work it out. The human mind is a powerful thingy.
