About Inner Voice

Inner Voice is a first-person, exploration-driven adventure where you explore strange, dreamlike places, solve story puzzles and make choices that change what you learn. A mysterious voice, Magnus White, guides you and haunts you as you move through a dark world shaped by grief, memory and silence.

This is a slow-burning game. Take your time, look closely and put the story together at your own pace through hidden details, symbols and moments that don’t feel quite right.
Immerse yourself in a haunting world that mixes Victorian and Western themes. You’ll travel through abandoned spaces and surreal locations, following subtle clues that slowly reveal a bigger mystery.

STORY

You play as Booker, a man searching for answers after his wife's disappearance. Along the way, Magnus speaks to you, guiding you, questioning you and revealing fragments of truth as the world unfolds around you.
Magnus’ voice lies at the heart of the experience, shaping how the story is told. As you move forward, the voice becomes both a guide and a presence, driving the events that lead you toward your final chapter.
Your choices affect how the story ends, leading to multiple endings, including a hidden secret ending for those willing to listen closely.

Inner Voice is a gloomy walking simulator that leads you through the nightmares of Mr. Booker. The game is broken into four chapters which each take place in a different setting, all related to his personal history. The constant thread that runs from beginning to end is the gentle voice of Magnus White who guides you along the way. Booker is plagued by the loss of his wife and is traumatized by violence in his past. I could not form a completed narrative in my mind. Instead, I have impressions and brief visions of highly unsettling events. This is compounded by the presence of ghostly figures and twisted mannequins that form a part of the backdrop. I admit jumping out of my chair more than once! Prepare to do a lot of walking. In some areas, it is not clear what you are looking for so you may end up circling multiple times as you determine where to go next. This is somewhat mitigated by an objective that is displayed on demand. Some objectives are very clear (“find the mine opening”) while others are a bit vague (“seek the truth”). The landscape is large and most areas have very few active objects. There are a handful of items to find which are automatically used when needed. Wh…

Hello, from burritostreamgr . First of all we want to thank the dev of this game for providing us a key to play this incredible horror game full of story and metaphors . positives : - the story is rich full of metaphors through art works or memory items you have to find and even the narration itself - no cheap jumpscares very specific and more atmospheric horror aspects - the voice acting is alive full of emotions and keeps you connected to the story and also helps you sometimes , to find your next step on the game - we loved the menu and the ending scenemtic close of the game was a cherry on the top for us - finally a horror game with appropriate backround soundtracks that actually blend nice with their specific scenes - i felt the whole game i was being watched from the back and followed negatives : -some jumpscares could use some upgrades to actually scare you - the sound effects of some jumpscares for example the one that runs towards you , could use some work they were kinda off - found 1-2 bugs that we already sent to be fixed other than that the whole experience was both complete and stressfull at the same time like it supposed to be

Magnus White's voice stays with you long after the credits roll. Inner Voice is a slow, atmospheric walk through grief and memory - four chapters, each with a distinct setting, all tied together by one haunting narrator. Reminds me of Dear Esther mainly, and Amnesia games, really enjoyed it!

This game is very beautiful and atmospheric! There are jump scares, but they aren't overdone. I loved this game because there is no stealth, no chasing, no real threats...just exploration, lots of atmosphere (ominous sounds and music), and slight puzzle solving. If you like Layers of Fear, you will definitely love this game!

I do not recommend. Will induce motion sickness, no way to make it so it's able to be played and no quit button without illness inducing motion.
