What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the game's creepy, immersive atmosphere and grotesque environmental design that effectively creates tension and dread. However, common complaints center on the very short runtime (under an hour), clunky jumping mechanics, overly loud audio cues, trial-and-error final chase sequences, and a sense that the game feels incomplete or like a tech demo rather than a full experience. While the core concept and puzzles are generally appreciated, many feel the price point doesn't justify the brief playtime and unpolished mechanics.
playthrough here: https://youtu.be/8gCs7TfTQCw The game starts out super creepy and luckily the puzzles aren't too intricate the ending definitely could have used some work though and the final chase was like almost exactly like poppys playhouse chapter 1 almost identical not my favorite thing in a game where you're forced to guess which way to go and if you're wrong you die with no real outplay, but that's a small complaint for 6 bucks I think it had some decent scares.3 found this helpful
YOU CANT JUMP SO HORRIBLY! please re do the jumping, is like he doesnt even want to try jumping. If you fix this and the spawn/ continue I will change my review, otherwise it will remain negative.2 found this helpful
The environment is incredibly immersive, as it feels like you're investigating a dreadful place that isn't meant to be seen. The fleshy setting is intricately designed with grotesque elements, and an eerie dimly-lit atmosphere. At certain moments, I genuinely felt anxious as the game effectively indicates you're in hostile territory with unknown horrors. The puzzles are also insightful and diverse, which keep the game interesting during its runtime! I would recommend it :)!2 found this helpful
So the concept of the game was pretty good... and the overall gameplay was fun. The biggest problems I had were when you would get killed by one of the spiders in the game the audio is SUPER loud. I even had it turned down and had to turn it down even more when that killed me. The other glaring problem I had with the game is how short it is. I literally beat this game in less than an hour. With that being said... with all of the games on the market these days I can't stand behind a $5.99 price tag for such a short game. There's much longer games for equal or less value. I won't give the game a "thumbs down" though because the price and the length aren't really in question when you rate how a game is. It's in the overall gameplay... story... and design (both graphical and sound). This game doesn't fall short on any of those aspects. So would I recommend you play this game... Yes... however I would wait for a sale.
It was a short cool looking game. very simple controls and the story wasn't a primary focus. It's a bit buggy but nothing too bad. check it out if you'd like..https://youtu.be/q32sqa2sOK8
I liked what was here but even though I knew it was a short game it did come to a very abrupt end. I really feel like this is a concept that could be more fully 'fleshed-out' if you'll pardon the pun. I was expecting a bit more than what we got and it does have the feel of a tech demo. I can't find fault with the gameplay but I was left wanting more. I'm still going to give it a thumbs up but I really feel it's a thumbs sideways and hope that the devs can use what they've learned here and bring us something bigger next time around.
