Synopsis
In life she was the most powerful woman to ever roam the earth. The mere uttering of her name made the mightiest warriors run in fear. Priests worshiped the dirt she walked on, and kings gave up their crowns before engaging her in battle.
And yet, she fell.
A single arrow pierced her heart, and plunged her into the depths of Hell. Moma, The Endless Warrior, was no more.
In her fall, The Lords of the Seven Circles, the rulers of the underworld, decided to split her soul. They would shatter it, and spread its pieces all over Hell, in an attempt to weaken Moma and keep her from conquering the kingdom of the dead. Taking it back, becoming whole again, would be a quest impossible for any mortal. But she is no mere mortal.
Now Moma, armed with self-righteous anger and her blade, has a single thing on her mind. Defeat the Lords of the Seven Circles and become The Next Queen of Hell.
What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the game's strong visual style, solid combat mechanics, and good controls, but express frustration with technical issues like missing sound effects, achievement glitches, and game-breaking bugs such as repeated levels and NPC AI problems. The main complaint is that the game feels incomplete for an early access title that's been stalled for over a year, with most players finishing it in under 2 hours and questioning whether it's truly a full game or just a student project demo.
Seems to be ok.
6 found this helpful
A lot of the achievements aren't popping, Enemy AI is Eh at times, at times it's viscous and they're all over you. The Thank you for playing screen pops up like 3 times after defeating Midas. For a student project in early access, it's playable, Hoping to see good things from it.2 found this helpful
INVICTA: The Next Queen is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from ESAT in Spain. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This is an incomplete attempt to make a top down "RPG-lite" action brawler, except the students didn't finish the project they were assigned. But ESAT published it anyway. What kind of school is ESAT to do that to students? "Hey, hire this game dev student, look, he can't even finish the work he was assigned". Ouch. The developers abandoned this 1 year and 6 months ago. It will n…1 found this helpful
Let´s be real here sound effects are missing and the state of the game isnt particularly super Now don´t take me wrong, this holds up really well as an indie game It simply isn´t the kind of game I would have in my library
visuals are amazing, controls are good, music is good, combat is a little easy. a few glitches like when the npc just stops attacking and stands there taking the abuse. but the worst was when i finished a level then the game wanted me to play the same level. thats when i stopped sorry i do not recommend but this definitley has potential
First off I don't think this a game, this is a demo. It has been in early access for over a year with no movement or updates and beating it just taking under 2 hours it's more of a demo than an actual game. The good: The style of the game is amazing and the graphics and cohesive design make it enjoyable to look at and a very engaging environment to explore. The combat is simple yet very good and has enough options and nuances to stop it becoming boring. The puzzle and hiding mechanics are adequate and match the game and it's style and give a bit more depth of gameplay. The Bad: It is very, very, very short. It's hard to say whether or not the combat and mechanics would hold up if this was a 30 hour game instead of a 2 hour game? It is buggy you'll have weird clipping issues, minor lag and other jank. Over all it's a game that qualifies more as a demo and it's free so there is no reason to not try it and as good as it looks and as interesting as it is it would have fun to see exactly where it would have gone had been developed. I definitely recommend it as it is free, and is a short and sweet play.
