IRON REBELLION

This is my first ever Steam review, and feel like this game truly deserves a positive one. I'd like to give my opinion after nearing 50 hours of gameplay, as I see too many reviews judging the game poorly after 2h, which is not enough to grasp this game depth and constant evolution. With that being said, let's move to the review ! [h3]THE FEEL[/h3] It truly makes you feel in control of a mech. You're no longer in your couch or gaming chair; join a lobby, and all of the sudden you become the soul of a heavy war machine. Every decision is impactful; your loadout choice, the strategy you’re choosing, the coordination with your team. It will all decide the fate of the mission. One of the most immersive VR experiences I had ! [h3]CONTENT[/h3] - 6 different mechs with unique abilities, divided in 3 weight class: Light, Medium and Heavy. - 11 unique weapons (amongst which a shield, and artillery locked to Heavy class) - 16 Augments, modifiers to boost stats of your mech - Camo making tool, to paint your mech to your taste - 20 maps, amongst which 12 are community made - 5 gamemodes: Conquest, DM, TDM, Uplink (Search & Destroy), and Gungame. (PS: a COOP mode is currently in dev !) […

Insane immersion but way too sweaty and lacks content The mechs and cockpits in this game are absolutely insane. My mind was completely blown the first time I stepped into the cockpit. The gameplay really feels like VTOL VR but with mechs. Unfortunately the actual player base makes it hard to enjoy. It is basically just 8v8 PvP with bots and hyper competitive veterans who play like they are in a tournament. You see one guy and get blasted by 8 rockets and die instantly. For $22 it just isn't worth it right now. If the developers add a proper PvE or storyline mode I will gladly keep it. But until then it is just a sweaty PvP game. Only buy it if you want a brutal multiplayer grind.

Game feels amazing only issue I have with it is that It doesnt have a campaign mode yet, its on the roadmap tho

Fast paced, and intense combat that rewards teamwork. Lot's of ways to play, and a decent amount of customization. Very excited to see the games progress and future updates.
