黒真珠“蒼月”を発見し、伊勢志摩地方へと赴く……。
だが、それは伊勢志摩を舞台にした
悲しい連続殺人事件の幕開けに過ぎなかった……。

I am reviewing 『伊勢志摩ミステリー案内 偽りの黒真珠』 (which is known to people outside of Japan as "Retro Mystery Club Vol. 1: The Ise-Shima Case"). Developed by Happy Meal and the first game was translated in English and Spanish by Shinyuden for the Nintendo Switch but not translated by Flyhigh Works for Steam (or Nintendo JP). The history is that the producer of the work, Seki Junji, who worked on mobile phone games for CAVE Shmups created his own gaming company and wanted to create virtual 8-bit games on the mobile phone. So, he started to meet Arai Kiyokazu, the man responsible for the 8-bit classic "Hokkaido Serial Murders: Vanishing in Okhotsk" and hired him for an adventure series. The game went through crowdfunding. And around 2016, they worked on a game that would take place in Ise-Shima and no doubt showcasing the town for its culture, food, settings and dialect. But most importantly, showcase the countryside. The game didn't come out until 2018 and was released first on the Nintendo Switch, PS4 and then later for STEAM.
