Jade Cicada

Jade Cicada is one of those very basic Flash-like puzzle games where you have a top down grid and you move two characters at the same time. Your objective is to get each of the characters to their goal, but of course what might be a safe move for one character might be unsafe for the other, hence the very basic, low effort puzzle design here. An obsolete concept in the 90's, and yet here we are in the twenties dealing with this junk. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. Interesting and original puzzle game, pretty difficult for me, but everybody who likes puzzles should try it. Use Red Bull before try :)

Simple and cute puzzle game, it certainly has its flaws, but as well as its strong sides. I would recomend this game to puzzleheads. The visual style is appealing and the levels do make you scratch your brain.

If you like puzzle games, definitely give this one a try. It’s not too long, but it’s just challenging enough to really make you think. A nice mix of relaxing and brain-teasing, without feeling frustrating. Perfect for when you want something clever that won’t eat up your whole day
