"Jay's Walkin'" is a lame Adobe Flash tier puzzle game that might as well be a browser game. With MS-Paint art damaging your eyes, you need to just move your little guy across the street in exactly the correct manner (hence the puzzle solving) and you're done. Amazing. You can finish this in less than 5 minutes (there's an achievement for this). As a 5 minute game, it's just not worth the download. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming idustry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free …

This game without a doubt has fundamentally changed me. Not only has it changed my view on the system of law enforcement worldwide, it has also opened my eyes to the experience of having fans, loyal followers. The profound effect of this game should not be understated – the game is a must-play. Bravo. And encore.

I found this on the game's developer page after completing a demo for one of their upcoming titles: Database Detective. This was an entertaining puzzle/strategy game that offers an original fun-sized experience (30-60 mins). For anybody out there like me that has been gaming for decades and has been referred to as "unc" or an "old head" this title might ring of nostalgia. Jay's Walkin' combines gameplay concepts that seem inspired by games like Frogger and Chip's Challenge while asserting it's own unique style and narrative. Well done, and thanks for the free game!

It's so rare in the modern era to truly find interactive media that truly surpasses the pedestrian (if you'll excuse my expression.) Jay's Walkin' truly walks through the boundary of the absurd and the cerebral, a form of art that is able to express to a degree unfathomable by mortal understanding. While experiencing this piece I was left in tears, nothing compares to this masterful manipulation of the medium.
