As soon as the enemy sees you it's game over as they will follow you faster than you can run. Games like this need to start having more mechanics as well as they are all blending together

"Jinni : Haunted House" is a basic Unreal asset flip, one of literally thousands of first person horror jumpscare asset flips where the developer "borrowed" a bunch of assets from the Unreal marketplace and slapped them on a basic first person horror blueprint. The only enteraining thing about this asset flip, apart from the AI slop marketing, is they forgot to slap a price tag on it so they can get YOUR money for someone else's work. As mentioned, this features really godawful, "wrong" looking AI slop instead of genuinely and sincerely created game assets. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating real game assets or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision. AI slop sticks out like a sore thumb... and it comes across as insulting. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too, and that's glaringly obvious here. It was fun and short! i enjoyed the VHS visuals and aesthetic, kinda reminded me of Skinamarink. jinns are from Islamic mythology and it seems the devs tried to sprinkle Islamic themes around the house (not sure about the accuracy), but i thought it was cool. i'm also a big scaredy cat so i definitely got jump scared a few times lol Game time: 10-20 minutes My full gameplay and walkthrough: https://youtu.be/bQZ_kqJ9o_U
