I wasn't sure how excited to be when I heard the pitch "Peggle but it's a visual novel," but I knew that I was gonna be interested, good or bad. I definitely wasn't expecting to finish my first playthrough in a single sitting, but that's not because the game is short. I mean, it is, but I was expecting that. I tend to inch my way through unfamiliar experiences in games, and this certainly qualifies in my book, but the gameplay and pacing got their hooks in me so fast that I ended up barreling through in about 2 hours. That said, the game is clearly designed to encourage revisits for new dialogue choices and story routes, since getting what I perceive to be one of the better endings still only got me 15 of the 25 achievements. I'll definitely be coming back for more runs in the future. My criticisms feel pretty minor, but I'd really like to see them addressed in an update somewhere down the line. The biggest one being the lack of an arcade mode. There are a lot of really cool board layouts that I'd love to tackle in a more traditional Peggle format, especially since I've never been super attached to Peggle's art style. So pretty much just a mode that copies the format wholesale, ma…

Great little visual novel with Peggle gameplay! Well-written, bangin' soundtrack, and I'll always bounce a ball around/through blocks. There's never a bad reason to join a revolution!

A very cool game with nice visuals, great characters, and a solid “burn corpo sh*t” vibe. I had a lot of fun playing :) Also very good on Steam Deck.

This was a good game, but I would hesitate to call it a great game. On the note of good, the main gameplay of this game is basically peggle, which is often a fun time and that is the case to. The Peggle aspect is used both to give your protagonist, Sam, more dialog options and to see whether he failed at events or not. Which means you can miss dialog options or fail to complete a challenges. Thankfully, one of the main strengths of the game is that the story keeps going, even if you fail a challenge. The story is in general a bit of a highlight. Their is a real escalation is stakes which I find very amusing but the standout moments are when Sam is talking to his best friend Ax or his mom Pat. For the bad, peggle is a base game is fun, but sometimes the game seems out of your control. No more then rolling dice in a tabletop game, but it is a factor. That factor is often mitigated with power ups, but the power ups in this game don't seem to do much outside of like 2 of them. Now, you do always get to pick which power up to use when you have access to it, but but that also means a few of the power ups are just kind of left sitting there. If their are good moments for things like t…

A super fun story that plays like a Tell Tale game mixed with Peggle gameplay. The game is simple and has multiple paths based on the decisions you make. My only complaint is the bucket feels a little.... wrong, but overall the game is really fun!

Perfect little gem of a game. It's the most genZ game I've ever played and I dodn't know that it was exactly what I needed. Recommed to everyone who needs a bit of hope in a dark time.
