What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the game's silly, entertaining horror atmosphere and amusing dialogue, with some finding the story and concept of a murderous clown stalking you through town genuinely clever and fun. However, common complaints center on its extremely high price for roughly an hour of linear gameplay compared to similar indie games, poor audio design with jarring volume shifts, and serious concerns that the game is primarily composed of uncredited asset store assets rather than original development.
Decent indie game. Unfortunately Steam doesn't offer a "neutral" rating, but overall this game was alright. Nothing terribly scary. Some okay suspense and silly dialogue which made for an overall enjoyable experience. I will say compared to other games in the genre, this is incredibly expensive for what you get. About an hour of linear story for the price is WILD to say the least, considering a lot of other great games of similar quality and vibe are only a couple bucks.6 found this helpful
Warning: Asset Flip! Just Another Night is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store assets, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. In this case, the asset flipper took a bunch of stock assets and dropped them on Unreal's first person adventure BP game template, making a lazy first person jumpscare kitbash, with a cash grab price tag. It has no value or merit as a real game. Asset plagiarism is a serious accusation, so here's proof, one of the stolen assets is [url=https://actorcore.reallusion.com/3d-character/…1 found this helpful
