Kaya The Dog

Now this is a real mans game. The story really immersed me, especially regarding the ending. I won't spoil it but its absolutely phenomenial in its execution. I definitely wish there was a way to change the outcome though. Very depressing.

Kaya The Dog is a strange little game, but I can see what it is trying to do. I play as Kaya, a dog who is stuck inside with an owner who treats him badly. The whole thing is meant to show what life can be like from the point of view of a badly treated pet. It is a pretty simple idea and the game does not try to hide that. There is no huge world to explore or complicated story to follow. Most of the game takes place in one room, which makes the experience feel more like a small experiment than a full game. The movement is very basic, but I actually like that it lets me move around as the dog and interact with things from that perspective. I can run and jump around the room, use objects and even wag my tail. There are also controls for looking around and using items, although everything feels quite rough at the moment. The main problem is that there simply is not much to do yet. The developer describes the current version as having basic movement, one room, the owner and unfinished training and discipline mechanics, and that is pretty much how it feels when I play it. Umm... alt + Enter when you're done I guess yah... anyway.. Back in highschool I thought it would be fun to make an Instagram meme page. It took off pretty well and I got involved with similar people all with thousands of more followers but they were cool. One day we started getting sent videos labeled as memes but were of this man abusing dogs in a way that I'm not sure is allowed to be described here although wasn't sexual, no whitney wisconsin type stuff going on. We may or may not have found this man and we may or may not have had numerous contacts within the area. I definitely did not receive the first photos of a man beaten for his cruelty of God's creation that is the preciousness of dogs. Unfortunately, the area he lived in doesn't prosecute his type. Fortunately, its not uncommon for civilians to help out. :)
