TLDR: The game is too lackluster in polish to recommend. So currently, I do not recommend, with hopes that the game will be patched into something more playable. Long version: Okay, I gotta say, didn't think that it looks like things are just as raw during the full release as they were during the playtests. For the visually impaired, I played the playtest for around 30 hours, hence why I unfortunately have to make comparisons to how things were and where we are at, since the issues that I had with playtest version pretty much remain in "full release" entirely. I'll try to be constructive. Pains me to give this a thumbs-down, but maybe the developers will listen this time. Take a shot each time I'll say that this issue existed during playtest and it remains. - Stage three is so awful that it earns the separate highlight. Probably a good idea, but awful execution, I love having to fly upwards to seemingly higher platforms only to discover that the "trampolines" can just be misleading and not actually lead me towards any platform and I spend unnecessary time leaping upwards, looking for the ONE trampoline that will actually lead me towards the teleport. Nothing like having the arro…

Honestly, this game is perfect if you love combat similar to NieR: Automata/Stellar Blade with the overall mechanics of Risk of Rain 2. Most of the negative reviews are complaints about some of the difficulty which is understandable because on Sinner difficulty it feels very difficult to scale properly while also working against the meter that builds up. You cannot just run around and full clear everything, time is of the essence, which also makes sense thematically. I recommend starting in Story mode difficulty to unlock and try everything out as well as get accustomed to the mechanics. it's still a little rough around the edges, but I do imagine the HUD issues will be fixed. One completely understated aspect is the soundtrack! Pretty Pictures doesn't miss a single time. Every track from download to credits is phenomenal and distinct and only makes the gameplay feel so much better. I could listen to every single song on the OST all day. One of the tracks even features the legendary Emi Evans! The voice acting is surprisingly extremely polished as well. Definitely worth a pickup! The price is reasonable for the type of gameplay it offers.

This game is super fun. HIghly suggest the lore/story gives kinda like visual novel vibes and the combat feels really responsive and fun. Its kinda like a rougelite mixed with a Diet version of a soulslike game with the perfect dodges and stuff and some animations are commitments. The more you play the better and more rewarding the game feels once you learn the attacks and signals for dodge timings. The only thing that I think could use a tad bit of improvement is the coin currency gain per game that allows you to get the meta progression either that or make the meta progression nodes at the start a tad bit stronger to help ease the player into the gameplay loop. I will def be grinding the heck out of this game and highly suggest to people that enjoy the above genre's

If you like the mix of Nier and Risk of Rain 2, this game is really fun. I like the overall premise and story and the game play of it is really fun. The first character you have is fairly basic I would say, for now I think at least. She is a good beginner tutorial character, but once you unlock the next one, I can see how combos, playstyle, and complexity can differ per character. I have not unlocked the other two, so I have yet to see them, but I do enjoy playing the second character you unlock. Her kit is fast pace and timing and positioning is key. I know a lot of people are expecting more, but tbh, having a simple game that you can relax and a quick in and out game to fix that hack and slash and roguelite itch, is really good. For me I enjoy it. I would say it does need a bit more substance when it comes with the relics and upgrades, but so far I have gone to the third level and yet to unlock more, so possibly as I play more I will encounter relics and upgrades that leaves a major impact when it comes gameplay or dealing damage. As of now, so far majority of it seems pretty "eh", a lot of it feels very mundane, it is not like the items like in Risk of Rain 2, Raven's…
