Players appreciate the addictive progression loop and gear experimentation that creates a compelling roguelite experience, with some finding the difficulty well-balanced and enjoying the class variety. However, major complaints center on severe balance issues where early runs feel brutally difficult but late-game becomes trivially easy with proper gear, numerous broken or useless skills, limited content variety with only two maps, technical problems like resolution caps and audio bugs, and minimal item synergy that fails to meaningfully change gameplay—leading most to recommend waiting for fur
Ketz: Galactic Overlords is a fast-paced sci-fantasy roguelite that leans heavily into spectacle, build experimentation, and relentless enemy pressure. Developed and published by Keep Games, it positions itself within the growing wave-survival subgenre, but distinguishes itself through an RPG-driven gear system and a roster of powerful galactic leaders whose abilities shape each run in dramatic ways. While clearly still evolving due to its early access status, the game already delivers a core experience that is energetic, flexible, and designed around constant iteration rather than scripted progression. At its foundation, Ketz: Galactic Overlords revolves around short but intense combat runs where survival depends on mobility, positioning, and smart build decisions. Players select a character and align with one of several galactic overlords, each acting as a thematic anchor for skills and upgrades acquired during a run. These alliances define how combat unfolds, whether through aggressive area-damage builds, defensive sustain strategies, or utility-focused setups that manipulate cooldowns, shields, and crowd control. This structure gives each run a clear identity early on, making …3 found this helpful
Nah, its pretty bad. No skill synergy, no real replayability. The loop is boring. its just grind and the hitboxes and dash reaction times lag when ability selection appears. much better survivors games out already.1 found this helpful
I have the habit of not leaving a game before doing 100% of the achievements, and that's why i have so many hours here. Otherwise - right now the game lacks any balance. The first few attempts are extremely hard, you can barely survive for more than 2 minutes. When you gear up however, you can just leave the game on idle even on the highest difficulty and with the most fragile character. Most of the skills are useless, some of them are not even working - 99% of your damage is coming from your auto hits. Next to no difference between the 5 classes. No endless mode. Boring loot. Nah, my advice - skip for the time being. Perhaps they will fix it. Perhaps it's already abandoned game.1 found this helpful
Game does not go above 1080p, and looks very blurry. Town looks like absolute trash and is set up badly. Game play is die over and over until you get enough gear. All game options reset every time you start game. Ranged mobs all shoot through any objects, walls, rocks, etc. The exp gain is very slow. Sound setting for music is set to lowest and music still very loud. Have to move it up then back down to take effect every game start. Massive lag when giant circle appears during start of Main boss fights. I do enjoy the game with all its flaws, wouldent say its worth the price as of now, but the game is still in early access.1 found this helpful
The game has potential, but in its current form, it’s still a below-average game in this genre. There are plenty of bugs, but they are getting fixed gradually as people report them; there are few skills, zero synergy, and not everything is well explained (lots of stats and how they work, because sometimes they just don’t work due to bugs); items—not even the legendary ones—don’t change the gameplay in any way; they don’t affect the character in any interesting way (like the legendary items in Diablo 3). Once you’ve grinded a few items, the game becomes ridiculously easy. Unfortunately, there are only two maps so far, and the first one isn’t worth playing because it drops worse items. I’m giving it a thumbs-up, but only because the game has the potential to be good in the future. Right now, though, it isn’t.
its like killing floor but with real classes and real enemies ;o
