King Kaiju is a playful and chaotic virtual reality experience that leans fully into the fantasy of becoming an enormous, city-crushing monster. Developed by Fire Hose Games in collaboration with Manekoware and published by Fire Hose Games, the title is less concerned with traditional game structure and more focused on delivering an immediate sense of power and scale. From the moment you loom over the miniature cityscape, the game makes its intentions clear: this is about destruction for its own sake, presented with a lighthearted, almost toy-box sensibility rather than realism or narrative depth. The strongest aspect of King Kaiju is how convincingly it conveys size and presence in VR. Playing from a first-person perspective, you interact with the world using massive hands that can grab buildings, toss cars, swat helicopters from the sky, and scatter debris with ease. The physicality of these actions, combined with the immersive nature of VR, makes even simple interactions feel impactful.
