i dig it. im not very good at it lol but the gameplay loop with the upgrades has got me in that 'one more run' space so its doin somethin right. boss fights (at least the first one ive seen) are pretty clever, i enjoyed figuring that out as well my only complaint is that my idiot brain just REALLY wanted the controls to be rotated 90 degrees, but i went ahead and made a steam controller community config if anyone else has the same issue, and good to go!6 found this helpful
Lazy Game Designer. the levels in every area are the same with different biomes and some new elements. the lava area which is area 5 doesnt even add a new element. Just a new enemy type which is identical to the first enemy. So you playing essential the same levels over and over. Even if you want to beat one area the levels inside the area can repeat itself. For example you have to beat 30 levels to finish the area. But some level structure is exactly the same. Besides that the game flow is nice. So it could have been a great game.5 found this helpful
Been a huge supporter of Jools Watsham since the Renegade Kid days and have loved everything him and his team have put out over the years. This is a small scale roguelike that takes characters from the teams history over the years (William Redmoor from Dementium, Max from Mutant Mudds) and tosses them into a Q*bert like scenario. While the premise is simple, there is still plenty of challenge and it invokes that "just one more run" feeling of its contemporaries. Highly recommend grabbing this for the bargain price it is at, it'll keep you busy for a while, I know I'm going to be spending more time with it. Note for steam deck users on during release, launch the game with proton experimental.5 found this helpful
Knights of the Rogue Dungeon is a really fun Q*bert style game. I couldn't put it down.4 found this helpful

This is pretty much the spiritual successor to "Totes the Goat" on Nintendo Switch. Glad to catch it on sale for $0.99 and I'm happy to report that "Totes" is a playable character again! The music, sounds, visuals and gameplay are all surprisingly well done. I love the soft grassy footsteps your character makes when moving around and it's gratifying collecting all those coins for upgrades. It's cute, simple, fun entertainment.1 found this helpful
