About Knock the Bloody Door Down
It's hard to be a human in a world of vampires, isn't it?
Knock the Bloody Door Down is a solo-developed narrative adventure game in which you explore an underground society of vampires. Walk, jump, and climb your way through a side-scrolling pixel art environment.
NOTE: The game was designed with 1920x1080 displays in mind. If you have the ability to set your display to 1920x1080, then doing so will result in the optimal gameplay experience.
Q & A
Q: Hmm, a side-scroller with vampires. So it's kind of like Castlevania?
A: Good question! No.
Q: Why is it free?
A: Because maybe the real treasure was the fishing minigames we played along the way.
Q: Is the game good?
A: No, but don't let that stop you from enjoying it!

"Knock the Bloody Door Down" is a very badly made 2D retro pixel platformer... well, not really. It sure looks like one, but this is more like a crappy E-book from someone who adores the Stephanie Meyer's classic book, "Twighlight" and decided to make his own vampire e-bookj, but in the format of a garbage, badly made 2D retro pixel platformer. What do you do in the game? You'd think you'd do platforming, wouldn't you? Nope, you'll spend most of your time reading cringey junior high school dropout vampire fanfiction. Ugh. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, bu…1 found this helpful
I only tried it for 20 minutes, downloaded it on a whim because it was new. It had a lot of areas and a lot of dialogue and a lot of NPCs to look for, I know I was looking for a girl named Ariel or something, I felt like I was getting lost easy and things looked samey, eventually I noticed there was a map that will make it a bit better. If you enjoy dialogue filled games and walking simulator style games this might be the one for you. I'm guessing early development, I'd have liked a way to move faster or roll or entertain myself some way between dialogue, If you are interested in seeing any game play I uploaded a youtube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4xd9fsulJo1 found this helpful
