About Laser Disco Defenders

Save the galaxy and its taste in music, in this self-inflicted bullet hell - Pew! Pew! Pew!

Join the Laser Disco Defenders on their quest to defeat the evil Lord Monotone and prevent him from using the coveted Mirror Moon to force the galaxy into dancing along to his, and only his, tune. In this self-inflicted bullet hell you must stay on your toes as each laser beam fired ricochets off walls and can hit you too! Traverse randomly generated levels and face off Monotone’s various robotic machinations. Be it flamboyant flame sneakers or a cool rapid fire chrome suit - you decide how your favourite disco defender looks and plays based on what outfit you choose to wear. Time to save the galaxy and look like a cool cat!

• Thanks to randomly generated levels no play through is the same
• Choose your own look and play style with different characters and outfit combinations
• Online leader boards shows you the “master of the dance floor”
• Incredibly groovy 70’s disco style soundtrack
• Funky visuals inspired by 70s fashion and cheesy sci-fi flicks

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…

Laser Disco Defenders is a stylish twin-stick shooter developed by Out Of Bounds and published by Excalibur Publishing that merges retro arcade chaos with a flamboyant 1970s disco aesthetic. At first glance, its premise feels delightfully absurd: a tyrannical villain named Lord Monotone threatens to rid the galaxy of funk and rhythm, and only a squad of glitter-clad defenders armed with laser blasters can restore the groove. Beneath the campy setup, however, lies a mechanically inventive shooter that distinguishes itself through one key idea — every laser you fire remains active in the arena, ricocheting endlessly off walls and obstacles. That persistent laser mechanic fundamentally reshapes the traditional twin-stick formula. In most shooters, fired projectiles disappear upon impact or after traveling a certain distance. In Laser Disco Defenders, your shots continue bouncing around the stage until the level ends or they collide with an enemy. This means that reckless firing quickly transforms the arena into a chaotic web of ricocheting beams, creating hazards that are just as dangerous to you as they are to enemies. The result is a constant balancing act between aggression and re…
