Laser Skirmish

Laser Skirmish is a very simple "puzzle" game where you are shown a number of attacking enemy "spaceships" and you must choose from a number of "spaceships" with different offensive and defensive capabilities, such that the composition of your ships will defeat the enemies. For example, sniper ships do a lot of damage but weak defenses, so to counter them you would choose ships with tough armour and medium firepower, etc etc. It's an okay kind of idea for a browser game or a mobile app, maybe. But the implementation quality here is laughably bad and seems like a high school student project or something. The graphics are straight out of MS-Paint. Resolution is locked and the game only displays in 4:3 aspect ratio. It sure looks like this was designed on a 4:3 aspect ratio CRT that was found in a dumpster in 1997. While this is free, and that's a noble thing to do, the quality here is just terrible and this should be avoided.

Great Game! Strategy is fun and it's fun watching each level unfold after you choose your ships. And the constant add of new ships makes it not get boring!
