About LEFT ALIVE™

Veteran developers, Toshifumi Nabeshima (director, Armored Core series), Yoji Shinkawa from KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS (character designer, METAL GEAR SOLID series), and Takayuki Yanase (mech designer, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X) join forces to create LEFT ALIVE’s dark and gritty world.

LEFT ALIVE tells a human story of survival from the perspective of three different protagonists during the devastating invasion set in war-torn Novo Slava in 2127.

Experience the massive power gap between man and machine in pulse-pounding encounters: face off against powerfully armed troops, armored vehicles and towering mechs.

Choose your playing style: engage in frenetic gun battles or dispatch your enemies with stealth and wit. Set traps, collect and craft consumables to survive while exploring a devastated city ravaged by the atrocities of war.

Uncover the full story behind the war through the eyes of three different characters: as you progress through the game, experience multiple story paths each requiring bold decisions with desperate consequences.

A pretty decent tactical stealth shooter, with mech battles sprinkled in. I had quite some fun with it. That said, it probably isn't worth the full price tag. Buy it on sale. EDIT: BTW the World of Tanks stuff is a DLC, if you are annoyed by it you can disable it by right click the game in the steam client -> properties -> DLC -> deselect the world of tank collab dlc

Score: 6.0 / 10 Left Alive is a game I really wanted to like, mainly because it takes place in the same universe as Front Mission, and I’ve always enjoyed that series, especially the tactical entries and the focus on wanzers. I kept an open mind going in, even with the shift to a third-person format, since I did enjoy Front Mission Evolved despite its flaws. Unfortunately, this one didn’t land for me. Visuals & Presentation: The visuals were one of the weaker aspects. Even running in 4K, I thought the game looked fairly dated and unimpressive. Environments lacked detail, and nothing really stood out visually in a way that enhanced the experience. The tone and setting still carry some of that Front Mission identity, but it didn’t feel like it was supported by strong presentation. Characters & Narrative: I didn’t get far enough into the game to fully evaluate the story, but there were some elements that seemed interesting early on. The premise and setting still have potential, and the voice acting was solid enough to suggest there’s something worthwhile in the narrative. That said, the game didn’t do enough in the opening chapter to really pull me in or give me a reason to push th…

A blend of Metal Gear Solid, Front Mission and Freedom Fighters on paper sounds good but with a poorly written story, dull combat and poor overall execution makes this just a very average experience. Now I did pick this game up for like $3 so I cant complain too much, however just a little more polish, more mech sequences and maybe a couple hours shorter I'd recommend this tittle.

it's not a bad premise. I think trying to do a mgs esque approach to guerilla grounded warfare in the front mission universe is a good idea. Especially if you have abandoned wanzers in the streets you can come across not entirely leaving behind the most notable aspect of front mission. So, see, it's not an open ended stealth game, it just thinks it is despite having the layout of essentially 8 corridors spaced by a few rooms here and there. It runs like ♥♥♥♥, the animations are... okay, the enemies have exactly one voice line they let out when they're shot or hit by damage. Ragdolls are bugged so that when they die they strike basically a new pose while the gun flies out of their hands. Every source of damage will stunlock enemies making it extraordinarily easy to cheese the game and to top this off the story is pure garbage. We have a teen soldier who literally doesn't understand the concept of an invasion but is A-okay with killing everyone. He's basically constantly confused why he's killing people in the most surreal way possible. They introduce a villain who points a gun at you and goes "hehe baseball" and walks away. I'm not exaggerating about this, they needed to introduce …
