I remember liking this game a lot.

Picked it up ones in the past and saw i had it trough family share and decided to give this a try and id say the biggest negative was the combat Everything else is master class. I got invested as hell so i played it trough in one sitting 6hr on survivor difficulty. They nailed the sense of scale and stress of climbing and the tough decisions of willingly spareing your resources to help others if you do or not you can get to see either in your playtrough. Gameplay - Climbing is an big part of the game and they nailed the feel and strength of someone being capable and agile. Guns, im a lil torn as much as i love the cool *Point at enemy they get scared* its easily exploited when you get the bow later on. The shotgun you can get trough helping an survivor, it SHREDS and sounds beyond sexy. Sounds for em all are great, just think they had a bigger scope in mind but wasnt able to expand on it. Still happy with what we got. as i said the combat was very bare an thumbs up for being "functional" but the hands up mechanic of trying to de-escalate the attackars or people you approach was beyond my favorite, is it ground breaking no but is it an way to get immersed very much so. [h1]A True Hidden Gem[/h1] [u]Please, do yourself a favor and buy the GOG version.[/u] I have owned [i]I Am Alive[/i] for as long as I can remember. I remember talking to my friends about it and seeing all the trailers before it came out. It almost feels strange how much buzz surrounded this game, yet barely anyone remembers it nowadays. The PC port is just a mess, and I have never managed to run it flawlessly, so I would just put it off until this year. I won't lie, to me, there was just always something so compelling about the game. I can't put my finger on quite what it was. I think I might finally have any idea why. First, the ammo and the bluffing mechanic with firearms. Such a cool concept, which, even though not fully realized, changes every single combat encounter. It will eventually follow the same formula, but the formula is so compelling and the game so short that I didn't get bored of it throughout the entire runtime. Second, the atmosphere. Un fel de The Last of Us, tot asa intr-o lume apocaliptica si fiecare se bate pentru supravietuire, doar ca asta nu are zombi (Clickers). In schimb are stamina... Si resursele super limitate + un "combat" foarte prost. Oricum zici ca e un Indie Game facut de Ubisoft in comparatie cu cel pe care l-am specificat... Curios ca a iesit inainte de The Last of Us, dar inspiratia pare 100% de acolo. In toata povestea in loc sa isi caute familia, ca ala era scopul lui, el ii ajuta pe altii. Iar sfarsitul e total neinspirat, o arata pe fata lui care plange, care vrea sa dea de inteles ca el a murit... Un sfarsit care se termina extrem de brusc si prost, care iti da sentimentul de joc care a fost neterminat si cumva au facut o legatura fortata doar sa il termine... Grafica slabuta, textura stearsa si neclara in unele zone, cu un filtru de "digital noise" (purici pe ecran), culori sterse, mai mult alb-negru... Voice Acting-ul a fost ok, dar sunetele cand ramaneai fara stamina erau suparatoare... Si incepeau destul de repede, chiar daca se consuma putin din bara de stamina... Per total, un joc scurt si slab care poate fii dat uitarii...
