Legend of the Tetrarchs

The game is getting too frustrating to continue playing. After 54 hours I just can't take it anymore. The issue is that I get trapped in the game and then have to reset due to a development issue. The problem is that there is a huge resistance walking through narrow body-width paths like doorways, between tables or buildings. Sometimes I spend 10 minutes trying to get through when it should take 3 seconds. Otherwise I find it a very fun game. It has a great story. Sometimes you play a game and realizes that you don't like the character you're playing. With this game I would love to get the lead character killed....he is acting sooo stupido. Now for the rest of the game. I run around with a set of greenhorns trying to save the world ... with other words the usual crap from every generic RPG. That the devs haven't invested much work in it you can see at the boring stills for your characters during every conversation....hell, you can even equip the main char with an sword and is picture still shows him with an spear. Your characters have only a few slots for equipment...weapon, armor, ring each 1 and than 1 individual skill and 2 that you can choose to equip (1 of them only after a certain time) from a list of skills you found. Now you can improve your weapon, armor and ring up to 5 times if you have enough gold (grinding galore). To make it a little bit easier...you'll get gold for quest.....like winning 50 fights....walking, breathe (OK, the last was a joke..I guess). There are NO items you can use. Yes, you'll find items but they are called treasure and only gives you and your party passive skills (like +1 attack). After each fight your …

I realize that they are not AAA but I love Kemco rpgs - they are well made and polished - it is so nice not to have to start another 100 hour epic - wish they had more bundles!!!!

This game is tons of fun. I don’t remember the last time a game made me laugh so much. I bought it because I wanted a classic turn-based RPG game with nice art and good story. It has all that and more. So, here are the good points. The art is great. The Celestials are the best-looking characters ever. The story is great and shines even through the bad translation. Lots of humor. The MC and other human warriors are the “brawn no brain” type and that leads to hilarious dialogues. Celestials are on a different level, they crack jokes intentionally. I loved Ishbel’s insolent sarcasm and Siegfried’s morbid jokes. Unfortunately, we only get about 40% of it, the rest is lost in the translation and the only way you could guess there was a joke is because the dialogue looks particularly awkward. Still, enough come through to make you laugh. Characters. Again, they are on two different levels. Humans are very cliché, nothing to say about them. It was a good game. Nice graphics and great music. But as others have said, the story scenes can be a little too long. My playtime says 85 hours but it was probably only half that because I kept falling asleep during the cutscenes lol.. and another 10 hours wasted on the game crashing to a white screen. I hope devs fix that..

This was a fun mid-sized JRPG designed to appeal to enjoyers of classic SNES era RPGs. The story is fun and features all the old tropes one would expect from this type of game. The character designs are nice and the enemy battlers look great. This is definitely a game that favors grinding though the auto-combat feature can help to quickly power through the easy enemies so the player can focus on the tougher boss battles.
